A rich, filling, incredibly simple soup.
3/4 c. Vegi Soup Mix
1/5 c. red lentils
4 c. water
1 tsp. Soup Base
1/2 cube vegetable bullion
1/4 c. onion, chopped
1/4 c. celery, chopped
1/4 c. carrot, chopped
Add water, soup mix, and red lentils to a pot. Add the soup base. Cover and simmer for half an hour. Add the chopped vegetables and the bullion. Cook another half hour. Adjust seasonings and serve.
Note: I received the soup base as part of a Christmas gift and let me tell you what: the stuff is awesome.
