Here’s an update of the ideas kicking around in my head lately. Apparently at 35 I’m now old enough to ‘think about business.’ (I’ve never thought about business before. Yawn.) I am an astonishingly late bloomer.

First, I want to use this adorable canned tornado image and build my web mistressing services around it. Mostly I just want to do it for the sake of building a new site that I don’t have a deadline on.

Then, I have this other idea – the Lazy Girls’ Guides. The first one is amost done and it’s the Lazy Girl’s Guide to Cooking. (Actually, I think I called it ‘The Lazy Girl’s How to Cook Book,’ but that’s easy to fix.) I can easily see an entire empire – like the Chicken Soup insanity – of Lazy Girls’ Guides to everything. Banking, marriage, gardening, housekeeping, grieving, weight loss, braided hairstyles, HTML, child discipline, etc. Add a booming online community of message boards and you’ve got yourself a phenom.

(I just checked, and lazygirlsguides.com is available, so as soon as I’ve got $13.50 that puppy will be mine.)

The Lazy Girls world is a great idea, and it’s actually not so hard to create. I just need a website, a host, the first few guides (I can write cooking and HTML myself, and probably something else if I think hard about it), and a publisher to pitch to. Oh, and money to host the site. And money to possibly self-publish the first few guides. And TIME to learn how to run a business like this!

After all, we are all lazy girls in one way or another. What would be better than instant expertise in whatever topic you need? The Lazy Girls’ Guides’ll be the new Cliff notes!

Nice idea. Let me know how that goes, I may have some input to add: lazy girl’s guide to break-ups, work outs, etc. Too much fun!

I like the new layout. It does feel very spring-y/summer-y. 🙂

I need a primer on how to make actual, human friends and not feel weird about it.

    Noted:

The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Break-ups
The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Working Out
The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Making Actual Friends and Not Feeling Weird About It

…thanks for the ideas! Know anybody who wants to write these guides?
