Now what I really want out of life, besides for this joy-killing life-sucking uncomfortable fucking sinus infection to GO AWAY, is a USB hub shaped like a flying saucer and lit up from within with green LEDs. Why don’t I have one of those?

I have a USB hub I’m not using. It’s neither flying saucer shaped nor lit up from within with green LEDs, but I’ll bet it’s less expensive…
I really need a USB hub, any suggestions on a good, reasonably priced model??
It depends on what you want to use it for. I use it for all my old USB 1.1 devices, so I just got the cheapest one I could find. Shortly after buying it, I found another one even cheaper, so I grabbed it (which is why I have one I’m not using).
If you have USB 2.0 devices you’re wanting to use, you’re gonna pay more.
Just go to your local gigantic, off-gassing electronics store and buy a the cheapest hub. They’re ubiqutous – and the only difference between them is, as Bucket said, speed: 1.1 or 2.0. You can find out which you’ve got by digging ’round in your device manager.
