In which I’m feeling aggravated.
My bank recently changed names from Central Valley Bank to Midwest One Bank.
In celebration of this, they’ve decided to charge my ‘free’ checking account $1.07 per month for the privilege of having a debit card.
Rat fuckers.

Get out of that bank while you still can! I suggest joining a credit union. You get a lot more for your money!
oh no! $1.07?? I can’t believe they charge you for that. If it was done here in Tokyo, people would go maaaad for sure.
I hope your ATM card is pretty and fancy at least….
what kelly said. i love my credit union.
stupid corporations charging you money to get to your money. I say withdraw it all and keep it under your mattress! That will teach them.
or write them an angry letter.
or write me an angry letter.
i’m bored and could use the entertainment.
*smooch*
Those CUNTS. We object!
Since congress changed the laws a couple years ago, you can easily qualify for a checking/visa/cash card/savings account at any credit union. CUs have long been known to be less greedy and not as assified as yet. But you still gotta watch them. And make sure it’s a Federal CU.
Good luck. And you should change banks, even if the CU isn’t conviently located.
Just don’t go to Jefferson County Community Credit Union…I have several thousand bad experiences I could relate to you upon request.
How does one ‘qualify’ for a CU? I thought you had to be a teacher or teamster or something to belong to one?
