In which I’m warm clear through.

This afternoon, I went grocery shopping with AmmZon and we bought a shit ton of food. We even bought ice cream, now that there’s a new fridge in the kitchen that actually keeps frozen food frozen.

Then we walked up the street to Raybo’s house, took off our clothes, and went into her sauna. We sat in there until sweat was dripping off of us, talking and doing oil-less abhyanga and being warm. I could feel my hands, feet, and finally spine relax. It was the first time I’d been warm all the way through since winter got here. We steamed ourselves out once by pouring too much water onto the stones. Raybo said she was glad we’d invited ourselves, because she never uses the sauna unless she has guests over.

We got out after half an hour or so, rinsed off in turns in the shower, dressed, and went out into the house. We even went out on the porch and it felt like October, not February, because we were so warm.

Then we went back in for another half hour, took another round of rinses through the shower, and sat on the couch for a glass of wine. IT. WAS. WONDERFUL. I was all warm, and my skin is so soft now!

Love, love, loooove saunas!! That was my favorite part of the gym I belonged to. I’d go sit in the sauna for 20 minutes before working out, then another 20 afterwards. It was heaven.

Confession: one winter when it was so friggin’ cold and we hadn’t had sunlight in *months*, I would go to a tanning spa just to lie inside one of those bright warm coffins. Finally stopped going when my ass got *bulb*burnt.

The bulbs aren’t supposed to get hot in those things, are they?! -m

the last time i was in a sauna the feeling of my nose hairs singing had me thinkng that they’re not the place for me to be. can you imagine a hot flash in a sauna??!

individual rinsing? why? i already told you that dyke is the new black! đŸ™‚

Well, girls are hot, it’s true… but the shower was too small even for CLOSE friends. đŸ˜‰ -m

Women taking of clothes… marinating in a sauna… showering off together… soft skin… it was wonderful…

That’s the way I’m going to remember this post. That, and freezer/sauna duality of the post.

I count on you for comments like these. You’re one of my few str8 male readers who actually comments! Boy-on, boy! -m
