Dear Netflix,

You guys are Doing It Right.

Seriously. You have cool services (I am so in love with your whole watch instantly thing, I could just squee) and you OFFER refunds when you have outages. You offer them! Voluntarily! Most businesses point to the contract, scowling, and say, “it doesn’t say guaranteed 100% uptime in there anywhere, and you signed it, so get off my dick about a refund already.”

I never take your refund offers myself, because I work in IT and I know outages happen. I think you deserve to be rewarded for offering me a refund, so, congrats on not sucking.

Warmest regards,
a very happy customer,

Mush

I got this refund offer too. Not going to go for it since I didn’t have any problems (that I recall), but rock on, Netflix. That’s the way to build goodwill. But yeah, I love the streaming! I hardly even watch/return their physical DVDs anymore… I have an early-season DVD of Mad Men from them that’s been waiting forever to be watched.

I finally had to admit that I wasn’t watching the DVDs; they’d show up and I’d ignore them for a month and then send them back unwatched! -m
