In which time goes by so slowly.
It’s nearly two o’clock. The day is oozing by, positively oozing. It’s like watching a river of molasses. Or crude oil. Or something dark and viscous. (Or dark and vicious. Whatever. It’s slow, is my point.)
And while the past three days have felt rather Spring-like, this morning the temperature dropped about twenty degrees. My teeth were chattering when I jogged down to India Cafe to get some lunch. Brr.
What you may not know is that my Mr Coffee Mug Activated Warmer is one of the most important electric devices in my entire life. Here it is, keeping my mug o’ tea warm:
I think I got my Mr Coffee Mug Activated Warmer out of a freebox in college, but I’m not sure. I know I’ve had it for at least a decade, if not longer. I always keep it on my desk at work, wherever that may be. It in turn always keeps my hot beverages at the perfect drinking temperature.
It’s wonderful. Everyone should have one. You can even warm your fingers on it.
Now I believe I shall brave the elements and run next door to the gas station for something in the way of chocolate and sweet. Maybe hot chocolate. Or maybe a chocolate bar and some milk I can bring back to my desk and make tea with.
Hmm. Decisions, decisions.

you’re going to make tea with a bar of chocolate and milk?
Mushy, I hate to break it to you, but that’s hot chocolate, not tea.
Unless you drink some sort of weird ass tea.
I guess I should rewrite the sentence, then? Because I meant EITHER hot chocolate OR a bar of chocolate to eat with the tea I’d put the milk in. Regular tea. Not chocolate tea! -m
Given the capacity of that jar you’re drinking out of, I can understand why you might need a mug warmer.
It’s a quart. Isn’t it wonderful?! -m
Oh, you are making me so very jealous. I am terribly hung over today, (still!) Something warm sounds perfect…warm and very caffinated.
I finish coffee before it gets cold. Because I somehow sense a threat the drink should not be cold at anytime. I don’t know… But my barista is very hot so I could live without that warmer but I want it….
You do want it. It’s awesome! -m
Mush- I have something like that in my car seat, but it keeps more than just the coffee warm … if you catch my drift 🙂
1. i want a mug warmer like that for my desk downstairs and that way i don’t have to try and find the big travel mug all the time.
2. i want hot chocolate
3. i want soup…home made chowder with yummy veg, cheese and milk…for extra phlegm production.
Mmm… love veg chowder. Yum. -m
